Our Student Services division is dedicated to your success, and we will make a difference in your education journey. We provide three primary services to both high school and adult students:
Student Enrollment:
Southwest Technology Center provides programs for juniors and seniors who are enrolled in our area schools without charge. Our district, number 27, is comprised of the Altus, Blair, Duke, Eldorado, Granite, Navajo and Olustee school districts. Where space is available, adult students may enroll on a tuition basis. Prospective adult students will be admitted on the basis of aptitude, ability, and interest. Past performance in previous schoolwork and attendance will also be considered. Prior to enrollment, adults must complete our assessment process.
Assessment:
Our assessment tools will help determine your interest, aptitude and current academic achievement levels. With this information and career counseling we will determine the best program suited to you and your academic success.
Our assessment center is also tasked with administering occupational competency tests to students as they complete various occupational areas. These tests were either developed by the Oklahoma Department of Career and Technology Education, or are industry-developed tests that are accepted by the department.
Individualized Guidance:
Members of the Student Services division are
available during school hours and by appointment to provide students with
information on career paths and help students.
